About the Event

We Were Always Here is an exciting project to find out more about LGBTQIA+ history in Wiltshire. Come along to Chippenham Pride Fest to meet our volunteer research team, find out more about the project, get involved, and tell us what you know! We'll be at two locations during Pride Fest:


1100-1700: Deck Chairs, Island Park, Chippenham

The Swindon & Wiltshire Pride team and We Were Always Here volunteers will also be at Island Park throughout the day, find us by the giant deck chairs!

1330-1500: Yelde Hall, Chippenham - talk starts at 1400

The We Were Always Here research team will be at Yelde Hall from 1:30pm. At 2pm, Andrew Foyle, project Historian and co-founder of Outstories, Bristol, will give a talk on the Importance of LGBTQIA+ History. Not to be missed!
