Will free water be available?
Yes! Thames Water will be providing free water, via their water bowser (weather permitting). Bring a reusable water bottle to fill, or support Pride by purchasing one from the Pride Merchandise stall! A range of soft drinks are also available to purchase from our Pride bar and food vendors.
What food & drink options will be at the event, and can I bring my own?
We will have many options available, including a dedicated tea and coffee stall - check out our Marketplace Stall Information page.
Whilst you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol we do recommend that you support Pride and take advantage of the food and drink options on the day, including our fully licensed bar (part of the proceeds support Swindon & Wiltshire Pride).
No glass bottles, and please make sure to recycle using the bins provided!
If you are drinking, please do so responsibly. Pace yourself, and drink plenty of water or soft drinks in between alcoholic drinks. We recommend you don’t drink on an empty stomach and make sure you eat throughout the day.
Will I be able to buy things at the event?
Yes, we have a range of traders, with a focus on supporting local businesses, at the event - and of course we wll also have a full range of Pride merchandise recognising a wide range of identities available too! Check out our Marketplace Stall Information page.
Will there be seating?
There will be limited seating available, and it will be prioritised for those with accessibility needs - you are encouraged to bring chairs or a picnic blanket if you'd like to sit!
Will there be parking?
There is no designated parking for GWR Park. If you'd like to park on the day, see local car parks.
Accessibility
GWR Park is wheelchair accessible, although there may be uneven ground in some places. The park can be loud, so please be wary if you're sensitive to sound, you might want to bring ear defenders.
Arval returns again this year to ensure Pride remains accessible to all.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed at the event. However, please consider that our event tends to be large and noisy, with many people in attendance. We encourage you to use your judgment when deciding whether to bring your furry friend. While some dogs may enjoy the excitement, others may find it overwhelming. Ultimately, the well-being and comfort of both your dog and our event attendees are paramount. Please note dogs must be on their lead at all times.
Will there be bag searches?
Swindon and Wiltshire Pride reserve the right to search anyone who attends the event, failure to comply could result in the attendee being refused entry.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever you like, although we think the more colourful the better! However, please keep in mind that we can't control the weather, so be prepared for all eventualities. It might be helpful to check the forecast beforehand and consider bringing suncream, additional layers, a raincoat, or an umbrella depending on the weather on the day.
